He is the one and only drummer of Harem, always there exactly when needed and always bringing the audience and the performers together in a halay!
Jabbaristan (a.k.a. Djabbar) was born once upon a time in East Turkey ‘Urfa’ into a Kurdish Sufi family. He began his musical journey in West Turkey focusing on traditional Kurdish, Arabic, Anatolian, Gypsy & Balkan music and later developing his own fusion style. Busking in Istanbul led him to London and India. In 2011, he started playing with “The Turbans” in London which led him to tour globally.
