Hayriye Holivud is one of the multiple personas of artist Uran Apak. Uran is a voice explorer and a vocal coach, he is passionate about singing, vocal improvisation and electronic music. Through his various personas Uran finds expression for different facets of his personal and cultural identity. 

Hayriye Holivud was born within the safe and nurturing artistic space provided by the Harem of No One community. Hayriye is a complicated personality; she can be a dominatrix, an angry Anatolian woman, a songwriter that sings the melancholy soul of her hometown Istanbul, a global pop icon or a film star. She is an aging performer who is perhaps getting too old for her big break in Hollywood but she isn’t one to give up on her dreams. As she waits for her agent to arrange a gig in Sunset Boulevard she is making a side hustle by performing in London queer venues.
